The Posse has been active in Elbert County for over 60 years, formerly known as the Elbert County Sheriff's Posse. We are all volunteers. There is no pay associated with membership to the Posse or any organization that the Posse supports. We are not a law enforcement (peace officer) entity, we are volunteers that help law enforcement and other agencies and the community as requested.
